The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon organised a stand in solidarity with the Palestinian cause at the university campus, and in the presence of the University President Dr. Sayyid Mohammad Reda Fadlallah, deans, heads of departments and a number of students, administrative employees and professors from various faculties.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On the onset of the event, Dr. Hawraa Houmani, a lecturer from the Media department, asked students and attendants to be careful when spreading fake news and rumours in their quest for a scoop related to the Palestinian cause. She urged students to hold on to the dream of liberating Al Quds, stating that the latest events were a pleasant rehearsal for the Promised Day when Palestine becomes completely liberated. She emphasized that even if this dream will not come true at this exact time, and in view of all the sufferings and costs, we shall continue to dream. Houmani also invited students to be aware of the double-standard policy adopted by international media outlets, ensuring that each and everyone has a role to be played with utmost proficiency.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

After Houmani\u2019s speech, the Palestinian author and journalist Mr. Hamza Al Bishtawi delivered a speech during which he emphasized the role of youth in supporting the Palestinian cause. He stressed that the perseverance of resistance by all parties and factions shall certainly lead to the victory our nation has longed for, noting that the Palestinian cause will remain to be our path up until liberation. He stated that each person has a designated role in this battle.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The student Rawan Hurshi delivered a speech on behalf of the students, considering that this stand is the least one can offer, and that it is a translation of the solidarity with the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people. She stated that everything happening in Palestine makes the youth feel honoured and proud. Hurshi addressed advocates of freedom and humanity, asking them to take a stand on what is happening in Palestine, stressing that the rightful resistance shall not cease to exist until Palestinians regain their rights.<\/p>
