The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon \u2013 USAL held a dialogue seminar entitled \u201cAl Aqsa Flood \u2013 A Story that Dates Back to the Time Before Nakba\u201d, hosting Dr. Wissam Yassine, the writer and political researcher, along with the Palestinian historian and writer Mr. Ahmad El Dabash. The seminar was presented by Ms. Mona Zaarour, and attended by a number of students and teachers of the University.<\/p>

After the national anthem and the presentation, Dr. Yassine delivered a speech where he explained the importance of the path of resistance, considering that \u201cthe path of surrendering and peace will only lead to more killings and humiliation\u201d adding that \u201cthe Palestinian resistance was often subjected to attacks by media outlets, and that all of its actions and achievements were underestimated, on the pretext that all the Arab armies, combined, were only defeated in their war against Israel\u201d.<\/p>

Dr. Yassine continued saying that \u201ca previous experience has proven how the Lebanese Resistance conquered the Israeli Occupation, forcing it unconditionally out of Lebanon, added to the experience of the Palestinian Resistance, inflicting heavy defeat upon the Israeli enemy forces, and forcing them out of Gaza during Sharon\u2019s rule, who was known for his relentlessness when it comes to military confrontations\u201d.<\/p>

Dr. Yassine noted that \u201cthe timing of Al Aqsa Flood operation was decided upon the approaching date of the largest normalization deal of all times, coupled with all the sufferings in Gaza Strip, the blockade forced upon it, and the ongoing attacks on Al Aqsa Mosque and worshippers there\u201d.<\/p>

On his part, Mr. Ahmad El Dabash saw that \u201chistory is currently being written by the heroes\u201d, stating that \u201cthis Zionist aggression has once again unveiled the truth about the bloody Zionist entity, reflecting the extent of violence, cruelty and terrorism constituting its mental, intellectual, social and psychological structure. These characteristics have been shaped by a religious and cultural fabric, making them one belief in the name of religion\u201d.<\/p>

El Dabash added that \u201cthe Bible is the backbone of the American version of political thought, and it hugely contributes in shaping the American public opinion, culture and policies regarding the determinants of the conflict and its stance on the Zionist enemy\u201d.<\/p>

El Dabash stressed that \u201cArab intellectual, academic and media elites shouldn\u2019t adopt western terminology when covering Palestinian issues\u201d, considering that \u201cusing the terms Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing is an intellectual and ethical duty towards the support of the Palestinian cause\u201d.<\/p>
